We are proud to celebrate the recent achievement of Magdalen College School Oxford, our founding school in the UK. Last month, Alastair, a Fifth Form pupil, was named BBC Young Chorister of the Year 2025 — with his remarkable performance featured on national television (BBC One) on Sunday 12 October.
His rendition of John Rutter’s Gaelic Blessing moved the judges, who praised the warmth, artistry, and emotional depth of his performance.
This appearance on national television highlights the exceptional talent and dedication fostered at MCS Oxford. As we prepare to welcome our first cohort at MCS Oxford Bangkok, we are inspired by the tradition of excellence and character that defines our UK school.
